The new Stealth air cleaner from S&S Cycle is described by the company as being one of the cornerstones of its four-step tuning program for 2012.

Talking about the design and development of the Stealth, Scott Sjovall of S&S Cycle explained: “We called it the Stealth air cleaner because customers can choose to run their stock air cleaner covers over the filter/backplate assembly for a ’sleeper’ look, or they can choose to run one of our new covers, which includes the first update of our famous teardrop shape since the release of the E & G carbs over 20 years ago.

“The Stealth air cleaner is priced very competitively compared to its competitors, and offers as much or more performance with the S&S quality and ease of assembly. In fact, the whole kit was designed around simplicity, ease of installation, ease of maintenance and, of course, performance. It is the only air cleaner of its kind to incorporate the ’stinger’ to direct and smooth airflow into the engine that has been an integral part of our teardrop air cleaner covers since we started selling them with the legendary L carbs in the ’60s.”

The air cleaner cover Scott mentions was designed as an update of the classic S&S teardrop with the advantage of offering increased air flow. However, it is not the only cover option for the Stealth, as S&S is also offering several minimalistic billet covers in a choice of black or chrome that leave the air filter element and back plate exposed for a more industrial look. One of the covers, the ‘Muscle’ uses miniature hood pins similar to those that held the hoods down on the muscle cars of the late Sixties and early Seventies, hence the design’s name.

Sjovall had this to say on the benefits of the new air cleaner’s design: “We designed the backplate to be a bolt-on part with minimal fasteners and assembly required. No shims to worry about, no breather lines to hassle with and internal hardware that is locked in place so that it can’t come loose and be ingested into the motor. Because we designed the stinger section of the air filter to be a separate piece from the element, it makes the filter replacement much more affordable when the need comes to change it. The element is washable, though, and should never need to be replaced unless it is damaged, or the owner just chooses to change it.”

The kits are available for almost every Big Twin and Sportster application from ‘91 XL and ‘93 Big Twins to the 2012 models. The air cleaner kits and the covers are sold separately or as a kit, allowing dealers to decide how they want to stock them and to make the product line more flexible.

The purpose of this project is save lives. We are bringing to the market the first AUTOMATIC loud horn and headlight warning system that is designed to enhance rider’s safety. With this you can warn motorists up to 3 blocks away using your regular horn button; the Banshee Horn system does the rest.

The Banshee Horn also, by the way, works great on all scooters, cars and boats that have unimpressive horns.

PAUGHCO has expanded its extensive range of custom frame options with the addition of a RSD-300 drop seat chassis. Created for right-side drive transmissions and with a seat height of just 23.5in, the new frame accepts a 300-section tire. The frame features a 13⁄4in backbone stretch, 2in diameter single front leg and 13⁄4in diameter tubular swingarm. The chassis package includes a 1in hidden axle assembly and integral forward control mounts. The Paughco 131⁄2in fender, oil bag and solo seat seen with the frame are sold separately.

Other options include the Pro-Street, with 5in stretch in the backbone and 38 degrees of neck rake, and the chopper version that has 4in in the backbone, 7in in the front leg and 38-degree neck rake.

Similarly, Paughco has also extended its line of Springer forks with a new collection of tapered leg Springers, featuring the company’s exclusive tapered rear legs, which are claimed to offer superior strength and more closely resemble the original factory front ends than any other Springer on the market.

The latest legs are offered in sizes ranging from stock to 24in over in increments of 3in. Lengths 15in-24in over are supplied with three degrees of additional rake only.

The Springers can be ordered in either the traditional ‘Wide’ style, with or without the factory style shock, or as Paughco’s ‘Narrow Chopper’ design. While the standard finish is chrome, bare metal or powdercoat are offered as options.

Paughco is now offering custom and OEM style replacement oil tanks for many applications. Options include the new Universal Round Chopper tank, replacement seamless Wrap around, 3.5 Wrap Around and Custom FL/FX replacement with battery box. Offered in various sizes and with mounting hardware to fit just about any stock or custom chassis, the oil tanks are offered with or without OEM oil filter cartridges and come supplied with fittings and caps as noted in the Paughco catalog. All of the tanks are fabricated from US steel and plated in-house by Paughco.

The ‘La Rosa’ design saddlebags from Paughco are hand-cut and stitched from heavyweight leather. Designed for mounting to the left side frame rails on both rigid and softail machines, they fit with strap and buckle closures and measure 10in wide, 7in-14in tall and 4in deep.

LEDRIE Sales has expanded its line of leather bike luggage to include a set of saddle bags designed exclusively for use on the H-D Dyna family of bikes.

To create a clean look, the closure of the bags is hidden underneath. While to keep the bag’s shape, the rear panel, which is direct mounted to the motorcycle, is made out a 4mm thick durable and maintenance-free HDPE plastic panel and the visible parts of the side bags are constructed from leather.

Various mounting options are available, including is a mounting bracket system that is mounted almost invisible behind the rear fender rail which the bags can be direct attached too. It features a quick release system using an integrated lock to secure the bags. Specially developed, leather straps with buckles are also an option to mount the bags.

The new bags’ lids are rear opening with a push button lockable latch and a hidden stainless steel hinge at the front edge.

KUSTOM Tech has a range of handlebar controls available in a wide range of finishes.

The Deluxe external throttle is a single cable design, available for use on either 1in or 7/8in handlebars. The retro styled piece can be ordered in either brass or aluminum in a choice of polished, satin or raw finishes.

To match the throttle, Kustom Tech manufactures Deluxe brake and clutch levers. The brake lever features an aluminum master cylinder with either a brass lever and finned brass cover or all aluminum construction. The master cylinder can be purchased with either a 12mm or 14mm bore to fit 1in bars. It is offered in polished, satin or raw finishes and a matching clutch lever is also offered.

Alongside the hydraulic levers, Kustom Tech produces Deluxe cable operation levers for 1in handlebars. The left-side lever is supplied with a special cable pin for early and late cable clutches. The right lever has been designed to work with either mechanical drum brakes, the company’s own wire master cylinder or custom applications. Like the rest of the Deluxe range, the levers can be ordered finished raw, satin or polished.

For builders who want to use a handlebar mounted brake or clutch lever without a master cylinder for disc brakes or hydraulic clutch, Kustom Tech has a wire operated master cylinder with reservoir. Machined from billet aluminum and with a 14mm bore, the master cylinder can be mounted on the bike in numerous places.
